Last month he won $10,000 in the 10-ball and $11,000 in the 8-ball bar box tournaments, so I'd say that was a pretty good use of his time.
 
Earl misses the 2 in the side and scratches. Karen takes BIH and runs out to tie it at 2-2.

Beautiful kick-safe on the 2 after the break by Karen, but Earl returns the favor with a kick-safe of his own. Karen misses the hit on the 2, Earl takes BIH and runs out to tie the match at 3-3.
 
Somebody comes on the mic to make an announcement right when Karen is about to shoot the 8. She stands up and tries to regroup, but jaws the 8 when she gets back down. Karen up 6-4.
 
so are we talkin history here? when was the last time a lady made it this far in a tourney this stacked?
