How many world class Filipinos? Way too many... Let them get travel visas and they will ruin the interest for pool in the western world...

I staked Orcullo in all the 3 matches he lost again Lee Van Corteza :D

And when I staked Jeff De Luna against Orcullo I won, so always bet against Orcullo ;)

Roy, you jinxed Orcullo!!!!:D Maybe that is why he is in a slump right now. I feel he needs this title more than Alcano in order to boost his confidence.

BTW, score is now 3-2 Orcullo. This is not a walk in the park for Dennis. Remember, Joven has nothing to lose and everything to gain. If he can beat players in the caliber of Ortmann and Engert, then he can beat Dennis too so the latter should not be over confident.

'Elvis' might have 'left the building' already but Joven Bustamante is stil slugging it out with Orcullo. Score is now tied at 3-all!!!!:eek:

You can say that again. Game is surprisingly very close and currently tied at 4 all. This Joven Bustamante is truly making a name for himself. Very, very impressive performance so far.
 
It has caught on. In recreational pool halls (as oppose to the money hall), I see a lot of people play 8-ball.

According to another poster, the Philippines do not have bar tables too yet Warren Kiamco just won both the 8 and 9 balls in the recent US Bar table championships.
 
7-5 Orcullo now Dennis slowly but surely inching his way to the finals against the red-hot Ronnie Alcano.

If you are talking about coin/token operated table, you are correct.

Maybe there are some benefits to playing on 9-footers that get carried over to smaller table.
