Final finish

I have a cue that the final finish did not bring out the shine in a couple of spots like the rest of the cue. What do you guys use as a final step? Can I get some sort of swirl remover that would not cut the finish and just give it a good hand rub?

Buffing may help but it won't help if the clear coat finish is burned through in the specific areas from over aggressive wet sanding. That can leave the dull spots as the clear coat is gone and your may be looking at the under layer of epoxy.

I am not able to upload pics and will just try to hand rub it out and see if I can get it to pick up the shine. I may have some polishing compound or will get some at a local auto store. I think it is just in the clear and not enough time was spent buffing it out, nothing too deep. Thanks again.

I use this as my final step. Picked it up at a local NAPA autoparts store. Use a clean dry soft cloth or shop towel. The dull spots could be where the finish has been buffed away.

If you have not used buffing material you have no chance of getting it to a shine if you have sanded it.

I have not sanded it. I am going to try some mild compound or swirl remover, not sure. I will not get crazy to cause more harm then good. Thanks for all the responses.
