I did wake up on the office pool table at 6am once with two blonde girls (one was my mates but he was in a coma on the floor :D) while working for a previous company. Apart froma few blonde hairs I can assure you it doesn't harm the table in any way! ;)

So how's June sound? lol :D  :p

Office pool table???????/:eek: man I need a job like that.

I wonder if I could expense a table....

hmmmmm.

Nice View and table Colin. I bet your neighbors love you with the noise of walking around the pool table and the balls cracking.

:p

It was cool. I talked them into buying it and the office was above KFC over looking Leicester square, the office keys came in useful on a number of occassions lol!

Oh then I got moved to Sydney and talked them into buying another office pool table, its very good for moral ;)

I miss Shanghai

Colin,

Hey, we haven't communicated in a while, been pretty busy here... I'm getting married in 2 months....

Nice setup you've got going there, the picture from your apartment window made me miss Shanghai, I wish I could go back sometime soon, doesn't look like work is going to give me the opportunity in the foreseeable future.

I'm having a house built here in TX, and it will have room for a 9'. Let me know when you're in town, the guest room is available :)

Hi Roel,
Good to hear from you and congratulations and good luck with your marriage plans.

If I get a chance to go through Texas I'd love to stayover and have a few games:D

Cheers,
Colin

Well there is a 10 foot air gap between solid concrete walls to my adjacent neighbour so no problems there. Maybe upstairs and downstairs gets bothered a bit..but no complaints yet *crosses fingers*.

I generally play breaks and hard shots during the day and do more softer shot drills when it's late. I've stuffed the pockets with bubble wrapper to reduce the noise..haha:D

Wow the room, table, and especially the skyline all look spectacular! Oh and if Craig makes it to your place be sure to lock up the liquor cabinet;)

That is one crowded place Colin!....I started backing awway from my computer when the first pic came up......I hate hights:)

Nice table though, does the light from the window bother you when your shooting?

Holy Crap, I just saw you are in China!.....for some reason I thought you lived in Canada?......If you ever get to Florida, come check out my room. All that's left is the carpet....Gerry
Hi Gerry,
Yes I'm in China, in the amazing city of Shanghai. Been here for just over 5 years now.

Sorry to scare you with the heights...lol:D

I just draw the curtains when the sun is shining through. Works like a charm. No table light, but I've got 4 fluoros on the roof so the table is well lit.

I sit in a lounge chair in the corner of the pool room with laptop upon lap, doing my work and posting between practice stints. Sure beats having to travel to a pool club.

Hope to bang a few balls with you in Florida someday:D
Cheers,
Colin

He can have all the US$1.50 bottles of Chinese wine and US$0.50 bottles of beer he can handle. Just so long as he keeps his hands off my two Chinese female room-mates and the harem of visitors;) :D

But seriously, would probably be great for my game to play a lot of sets with you.

I tend to be the kind of player who buries myself alone at the table for endless hours....which is good in a lot of ways. But nothing prepares one for competition like match play against a tough opponent. Even if he's just a short-stop...lol:p

Shame you only half short-stoped NVB:mad: .. ... ...:p

<bought some lock cutters> :D

Would be great to play and I probably will visit again in the latter part of the year maybe before thw WPC in Taiwan in Nov as this would also be good prep for the IPT qualifiers if they still happen around this time? You better not start getting out set squares and protractors though!

PS
Have you bought your flat mates a sexy unifrom and taught them how to rack the balls and make coctails yet? :p

PPS
The worse thing about playing NVB the second time is that I had kept my two friends waiting all day and I was supposed to play at 9pm, we didn't kick off until gone 11pm and although they said they where ok I felt quite bad about it as I knew they had come to Prague to party and where dying to get to the clubs lol! Still I tried to forget about it after the bad start and it turned out to be quite a good match. I really started hitting the ball well after going 5:1 down and really could have won. The funniest thing was at 8:6 down I'm cueing up for a long 8 ball and a local cleaning lady walks in front of my shot and starts cleaning our table lol. I stood up and smiled and the crowed all laughed but she didn't have a clu what was wrong lol. I ran out the rack after she had gone but when I sat down she had even taken my drink lol!

He still be at me 17:16 on aggragate though but I proved to myself that I can compete even as a part timer again (I mean short stop!)

These pics are great Colin! Thanks! I can't believe you posted these right after I left for my latest trip. I've missed so much being gone from the computer for 3 days! LOL

Gotta love that view!!!
