The attached pictures should put an end to all the argument about how the pros aim. Does anyone have any Harold Worst stories.

Hello,

I don't think so mate. Tell me, when you take that thing off the table, what are you left with? It looks like it shows you the path and tangent line, what else? Maybe your not being serious :) and just showing your old school thing.

Take care

Thanks for the offer, but it is not for sale. As a collector it is hard to get rid of something unless you have doubles. If you keep your eye on Ebay you might get lucky. They should sell in the range of $10 - $40.

Would you consider selling that thing?

I am just kidding. I will say that many of the old so called aiming systems centered around the ghost ball theory.

That's a really neat piece of pool history. thanks for sharing.

Is that a track the cue ball rides in? I have trouble determining from the picture if it is a raised plastic track or a flat piece with painted sides.

Does it pocket the balls when you use it?

I have sent along a pic showing a better view of it. It will pocket balls as long as you aim it towards the near pocket jaw to allow for cling. I have used it when showing ? ball 1/4 ball...

I am going through parts of my collection that has been in storage. I'm amazed at the items I've forgotten about.

I am not certain, but my guess would be between 1961 and 1966 (when he died). My thinking is that after The Hustler came out, numerous billiard items hit the market to capitalize on the pool boom.

Looks to me like a channel aiming visualization aid. I know of a very respectable player that aligns/aims using a visualized chennel method just like like

It is like two railroad tracks from to the CB to the OB and two railroad tracks from the OB to the pocket.

As he described it to me, he just visualizes those tracks and shoots the balls to "track" inside those tracks.

He does not play much any more, but he at one time played pretty sporty.
