finally ready to roll on basement billiard room plan

Made a few changes on look of table, an old victor 10 footer (see original in photo 7) ,..routed sides and ends to create panel look (dark stain),..made new feet (solid hard maple) and redid top edge of ball box,.... Then I got foot trouble (plantar fascitis) and wound up with surgery etc.... but back to working on this and am looking to make room look like old art deco pool hall (30's 40's) (table is an old victor 10 footer)any ideas/suggestions out there or good books to get ideas,..I have discovered great source for old building materials here in Baltimore (bead board, trim,lighting lumber furniture etc.) so I'm going to try to keep budget down by getting old stuff (want room to look old)

Just remember that the most important part of an authentic 1930-40s look is the broads...the dames.

Thanks, Just hoping when its all done that room is Ok with Willie Hoppe since table has his name on it,...Had to replace his old cushions though.....

How do the rails attach? I had an old Susser & Grimaldi I restored. It had the T-rail system and looked beautiful but played horrible. Could never get the rails to play right. I quickly replaced it with a Gold Crown. I saw in one of your older posts a picture of the return system looks pretty cool. Mine had a system made of wood. It made a racket when the balls were returning to the box.

T rails that are really solid, attach into the 1 1/2 inch slates, slates are backed with 1x that gets screwed in from underneath, also has patented victor silent ball return. I had to replace old rubber/plastic(?) tubing that was deteriorated,used vinyl and seems fine. Tested with a few balls and really was quiet.
