Hi all,

I am looking for a cuemaker who can go a Bushka theme/tribute cue with the MOP inlays, bushka ringwork and the thick silver rings in the butt sleeve with the old school butt cap. If the cuemaker has z2 shafts or blanks, that would be an absolute plus.

My budget ain't great but should be around $1k-$1.5. I hope I can find a cuemaker that can do the cue in less than a year.

Any recommended friendly cuemakers out there? Post here or PM me.

A friend of mine bought a John Davis full splice blank and had Steve Lomax finish it out. To say the least I was very impressed. Probably over your budget a bit but I think I would give Steve a call.

Wouldn't it be nice to have this as your daily player??? I LOVE this tribute cue by Jerry Rauenzahn. WOW is all I can say.

Jerry is one of the BEST builders for customer service. You will NOT be disappointed. However, I need to qualify one thing, prices. These cues are more expensive than what you want to spend.. I'm confident you can call him and work something out that fits your budget and eye appeal. Goog luck!!

Enjoy,

John

This is the actual cue from the big book.

Or, here's another design Jerry built for me.

The very best Bushka cue.....bar none, so good the cue could pass for an original......that cue-maker would be none
other than the famous Richard Black.......his Bushka cue design is authentic & true down to the smallest of details.

I had a Black "Bushka" cue and it was only reminiscent of George's cues from about 3 feet away. Richard uses his own styling, even in his Bushka cue. The notched diamonds are even different (more in line with the modern cues).

If you want a cue styled after George's old cues (ie, point length, older style notched diamonds, tapers, weights, balance points, stainless rings of the correct sizing and materials etc..., look no further than Tascarella or Klein. You will have a longer wait, and pay more than the original figures mentioned by the OP. But, in this life, I have always noticed you get what you pay for usually.

Here is one of my cues Klein made with the original red material George used in the butt sleeve, original brunswick bumper etc...

I would be willing to take it on for near the upper end of your budget. A year would be more than enough time. More realistic would be late summer to early fall.
