They should have slowly returned cues once they had reasonable assurance they were going back to their owners. They probably could had done that with high confidence. If some scammer had enough info and details to scam one or two, just pay the owners for those cues.

I've lost several family members and the first thing I did was made sure all the debt was paid. My family would've wanted that. What Joe's family is doing is shameful.

Just my wag but i tend to believe that Joe's family is being led by the nose by some hack attorney that has no clue about these cases.

Even better you could try to get a class action status

The class actions I have been involved with the lawyers got all the money. Hundreds of thousands total. Close to a thousand I was burned. After a few years the members of the class action lawsuit were sent a letter. Send reams of documentation and they would send you a five or ten dollar coupon for something costing many times that where their profit was far more than the amount of the coupon.

I would rather have Wheatbucks, at least I could hang them on the wall for a chuckle!

That's exactly why these situations are hard to settle. New member right after Joe passed and looking for info. Why?? Not that this is necessarily the case, but there's always someone wanting something for nothing.
