finish solution for snake skin wrap?

I have a snake skin wrap and I was wondering if there is something that can be done to reseal of finish the snake skin wrap. It is starting to feel flakey and not smooth like it did when I first started using the cue.

I appreciate the help!

You might try some Mink Oil.

I have done many snake skin wraps and can assure you that you need to take this cue to a cue maker or repairman and have them totally seal the wrap with clear coat finish. No thin seal coat of shaft sealer of similar product will do what needs to be done to it. You need a thick enough coat of finish that you cannot touch or even feel the scales.
