First attempt at building a light

I'm happy with the way it turned out. Just thought I would share. I needed a light for my 7' table. I didn't want to spend a bunch of money on it. And I wanted it to look decent, because my table is in my living room. Most of the wood was scrap that was laying around. Only had to buy a cheap "shop" light, a chain/wire kit, and some hooks. Total investment of about $20. It lights up the table very well. And looks good while it does. It has a high gloss finish, that really didn't show up in the pics. I also made a mounting board, so I didn't have to worry about hitting studs for the chains... tablelight.jpgtablelight2.jpg

Nice job. Looks very professional. You might consider adding a light diffuser to it soon.
