first attempt at points

So this is my first attempt at putting points in a cue. I need to adjust my taper bar a little as the points came out a little skinny. Haven't decided if I am going to put a wrap on it as of yet.( Open to suggestions?)

Was told that the wood for the points was tulip from supplier, but I don't think that is what it is.

TulipWood isn't always Red/Orange but the grain structure is pretty consistent with what is usually shown. I have some that's more akin to the color of Walnut. It's not seen very often.
