First cue: $3-450

How about a <$100 Cuetec cue and $350 spent on lessons?

My 8 year old boy is starting to collect the NFL cues (I think they're made by Cuetec?) and for under $100 bucks it will do almost everything the higher priced cues can do. As a matter of fact, I think if I had a $2000 cue and someone like Johnny Archer had the NFL cue, he'd still beat me.

I will second Greg Sirca. He makes a very beautiful cue at a very reasonable price.

Well fellas I did some asking around at the Carom Room in Beloit, WI and found a guyby the name of Jim Richards and purchased a cue for $220. It's a tad long and so I'l have to buy a long case because it won't fit in a traditional case, haha. But when I do have a chance to purchase another cue I'll be looking at a custom made sneaky pete for sure.

Thanks for all the advice and I hope this thread is ableto help others who were in my position.
