I finished this cue about a month ago, with some helpful advice from my boss, Royce Bunnell. It's a Bocote full splice into bird's-eye. The figure in the bocote came out better than expected. I also made some joint protectors to go with it. I'll post pics of the cue I made for my son soon. I have another sneaky in the works it will be done Tuesday. This cue weighs in at 18.3 oz and has a 19in balance point.

Congrats on your first cue. The Bacote is amazing and the ringwork looks great too.

Thanks for the comments. Truth be known, I hadn't ever used a lathe until March of this year. I started and finished this cue and my son's , July of this year. I'll post pics of my son's cue and the cocobolo cue I'm finishing Wednesday.

Nice cue Jessie; I'll probably drop by the shop either tomorrow or early Wed. I'll take that cue off your hands for a crisp Andrew Jackson, deal? :)

Nice work. I was actually wanting to get a custom cue built very similar to this.
