First Custom Cue - $1200 Budget

Try a new custom handmade Joss.
Dan Janes has been building cues for a long while.
Think he's got a 6 to 8 month lead time.

Keep me in mind if you sell the RH cue.

I just noticed a Rick Howard sneaky in for sale. It's dated with his old signature like mine. Mine just has the year 2001.
If I ever sell I let you know 1st. Still in mint condition as I rotate my cues and take care of all of them.

Like the title states, I'm looking for a first custom cue. I like merry widow style cues and would like to have cocobolo with a leather wrap or perhaps an ebony wrapless cue with a brown handle section. I don't care for birdseye maple. Looking for either radial or 3/8x10 pin and want it to be a 60" cue and have the ability to take a carbon fiber extension. Looking at Carmeli, Josey, and Nitti. Thanks in advance for your input.
Check out our own AZ member,Joey Bautista( joeyin cali)

On my Facebook cue seller page there was a wrapless Cory Barnhart for sale for $700. It looked really nice. Kevin Stier was the seller. I dont know Kevin or the cue, just passing it along.

It sounded to me like a good deal. But dont take my word for it, check it out yourself.

Here is the cue on the facebook Open Billiards Market:

I would go to a larger tournament in your area to check out the cue sales vendors. For instance, Joe Salazar is one of the best One Pocket players but for health reasons does not play much any more. Joe is a highly respected vendor with a booth at many tournaments with a large selection of cues from custom makers.

Joe and other vendors can give you an idea of the type you need for your style and within your budget. Resale value may be important to you if you want to change or move up sometime. The big plus is that you get a mini vacation while you select a cue.

An alternative is to search for the nicest TS Sneaky Pete cue
you can find & the fancier versions are less than your budget.

If you want it now. Recollection Cues - Treadway, Coco with leather Merry Widow. Gorgeous cue.
