First legit cue build. I've been extremely humbled.

Well, just finished the first real cue build, I guess it started months ago when I bought the wood and let it sit and season, but started the process of working on it last week.

I've learned a lot the past summer, and felt like I was sporty enough to knock out my first full core cue. I guess I was right, but boy was I humbled. The amount of things I had to redo, or just flatout got wrong and had to live with. Like forgetting to put on 2 black trim rings while gluing the core... Or forgetting to put my signature on the damn thing...

I had to redo the pin twice because I let my steady rest get out of whack because I was rushing things. Oh, I also cut the taper too small from the getgo, so I had to build up a lot more clear than anyone would realistically want to...

But, all said and done, it's a fine cue if I do say so myself. With maple shaft, it's 17.2oz. I am gonna add a weight bolt to get it up to 19oz for my liking.

I've had a lot of fun making this cue, even through all the mistakes. I've learned so much, with a lot of help from people like Chris Hightower and Cuemakers Guild youtube channel. Bob D aswell.

Imgur link because the hotlink won't load -
Looking forward to many more!
