My first book was 99 Critical Shots, by Ray Martin. Based on recommendations here.

I agree.

I also have a couple Capelle books, and they are also recommended.

I'm hoping Santa brings me a new one this year. :p

great books

Play great pool by Mark Wilson is the best by far for a total package: fundamentals, Mental Training and drills.

all of Robert Brynes books and Phil's books as well
99 critical shots is a must as well!

Marks book is The BEST hands down! With what I have read in this book I would have paid double and still felt like I got a great deal.
