FIRST POST! and a story

Well guy's today is the day...my account finally got activated and I finally beat my Dad in pool. I have always played pool with my dad and I could never beat him. But today we played best of 5 and i beat him 2 out of 5 games. He's the type of player who thinks 3-4 balls ahead of where he actually is. Just thought i'd share that with you. im 19 by the way
 
What do you guys think about The McDermott Genesis Cue...that's what i ended up buying..it's my first cue and i thought it was a pretty good entry level cue.
 
I personally would've went with the Liquidwick but I suppose McDermott is good enough for a first cue :)
 
haha...yah well i like my McDermott and it seems to get the job done...i like the cheesy video on liquidwick's site
 
Guy must have 12 computers spread all over town...

I am envious though..2 out of 5 IS a good day. :rolleyes:

My son (23 y.o.) still has the dickens of a time beating me. The trick is, I usually let him win the FIRST game. That gets him all cocky and he starts talkin' smack. Then I proceed to whip the livin' $hit out of him and he starts getting real quiet (except for the cusswords he mutters under his breath :D ). If he starts talkin' smack BEFORE we start playing, then I just go ahead and whip the dog-$hit out of him from the get-go :) .
BTW, what part of Texas are you in?
