Here's a question I'd really like to see some responses to , especially if any of the respected Intructors or Pros here would like to offer insight :
I never hear people talk about this here so . . .
What is 'your' pre-play warm up , if you have one ?
Basically I'd be interested to hear the things you'all do before you start playing.
Some seem to just knock balls around , some nothing more than screw thier cue together
some have more elaborate process'.
I seem to be the odd ball in my parts but here's how I start :
Loosen up my back , light stretching (can't do anything with out that
) ,
Start with table length straight in shots , OB-CB about 12" apart ,
Gradually spread OB-CB when that get's locked in till I end up about half the table apart ,
Add some draw and force to that ,
Few minutes of "boxed 1 pocket" ( 9-10 balls placed around corner pocket in a square layout ) untill I can run it a couple times ,
Few breaks (in a row) till the CB can be parked comfortably ,
Then I'm good to go. Seems like alot maybe but take me like 20-25 mins.
Thoughts ?
Jay.
