I'm thinking of heading down for the day on Saturday. Will be my first time attending a pro event and was hoping someone could share their experiences and give me an idea of what to expect. I've read the website up and down. Is the event fan/viewer friendly? Does the layout lend itself well to viewing the pro matches or is it normally mobbed with people and difficult to see? My fiancee is planning to join me and is not a huge pool fanatic like I am. Thanks for any help.

It's normally pretty easy to watch the pros. You shouldn't have a problem.

You will have plenty of down time between matches and most likely wandering around so bring a comfortable pair of shoes.
Get to the arena 20 min early so you can get the best seating and beat the last minute rush for such.
Dont be the guy with a flash camera or cell phone not put on silent.
Large nerf hands that say EARLS #1 arent allowed in the spectator arena.... this isnt europe.
If he/shes not a pool fan, this potentially may be the most boring thing they've ever witnessed and may be the end of your relationship by the time your thru for the day.....so ......Leave the fiance at home, ......lol....JK:D

That is hilarious man thank you! Seriously, some good advice...thank you

Get there early so you can find parking. Other days it's not an issue like Saturday.

I thought that might be the case so we plan on leaving early. Thanks very much.

From the looks of the pictures of the amateur tournament...do spectators have basically the freedom to sit at any of the tables that line the matches??? Also, it appears they still only have last year's tournament schedule up but I'm guessing in general it will be similar. Will there be some sort of board that has the matchups and table numbers?
