floating floor

I am redoing a room in my basement and using floating floor/laminate. I am hopeing to be able to install the table in this room. Are there any considerations to this?

The table is a standard 88*44 playing surface 3/4 inchs slate. My main concern is will the table shift as people move around it? Should i look at installing something other than laminate under the legs?

I can't have carpet so am somewhat limited in options.

Thanks

Rubber Shims.

Try Small round Rubber Leveling shims.
Glue them to the bottom of the pool table legs.
the rubber should grab the floor to eliminate the pool table moving around.

It's always worked for me...

Floating floor

Afss,

Floating laminate floors can become "anchored" when you place heavy objects on them such as gun safes, pianos, etc. Don't worry about your table moving. If your floor extends into another room you may see some of the joints between planks start to open slightly. Because your table is pinning the floor under it, the surrounding floor can be pulled away from the table area (usually in a doorway). If this happens, you can install a floating floor threshold at this point. If it is happening in another part of the room, go ahead and install a threshold at the doorway anyway and your planking should return to its installed position.
As a contractor one of the questions asked is, "Will there be any heavy furniture set in the room?". If so, you install the threshold with the floor ahead of time. Saves the headaches.;)

A Table with 3/4" slate might not be heavy enough for a floating floor.

Thanks guys.

Its one room, about 15 feet wide and 19 feet long. Table will be in the middle so it should be able to float in and out from the center.

If i find that its too bouncy i could always add some weight to the table some how.... fill the legs with concrete or something. they are hollow now.
