Curious on the the days matches so for.

If anyone has any updates it would be greatly appreciated.

THanks

Second round matchups

Gabe is playing Danny Harriman in the second round and
Tony Crosby is playing Tommy Kennedy - 2 good matchups.

... Another event I was 'supposed' to head out to but didn't. I was supposed to go up with 3 people (2 guys, one girl... bad ratio). The guy who was played the mens tour went damn near two and out... The girl is still on the winners side at the womens event.

A lot of world beaters at this one, aye?
I see Corey beat Ignacio, which isn't unexpected - but I'm guessing he was playing a little under-par considering every one of the 3 matches he played went Hill-Hill.

... I should've gone! DAMN!

I went yesterday for the Tony Crosby vs Chavez match. I'm on my way to an all night No Limit Hold 'Em poker game in a few minutes and if it breaks up by noon tomorrow, I'll probably head over to the Florida Pro Tournament at Strokers.

Reading the brackets here on AZB looked as if the matches had been 'seeded', but I don't think they seed the Florida Pro Tour. Many of the top players drew 'lobsters'.

( it looked like a 'seafood buffet' for the good players..... imo :) )

Danny vs Corey is one of the first matches today. is Jorge from propoolvideo there this weekend?

Yep he is here. Marlen Manelo is also here!! I cant believe the level of players at this event is unreal.

Danny won against Marlon Manalo 8-7 to advance to the hot seat against Tony Chohan.

Chohan is a beast, and one of my pics for any tournaments 1st place.

My friends are still out there soaking it all up, I'm jealous.

Danny loses to Chohan but what an army of giants he slew to get there:
Broxson, Owen, Wheeler, Deuel & Manalo. Now he will be playing Manalo who has fought back out of the loser's bracket to play for 2nd/3rd place against Danny Harriman. Manalo will have on his game face for sure.

Danny Harriman beat these top players with only one going hill-hill and that was to Manalo. I would love to see this match and am curious how Danny does against Manalo.

Tampa Tubby, that wuss didn't go to the pool tournament because he was too TIRED from playing poker all night. Hope someone sends an update on the matches soon.

I'm editing this post since no reporters on the scene. Manalo returns the favor to AZer Dannie Harriman 8-7 to face Tony Chohan.

What? Wheeler a monster? But he was competing in Florida AMATEUR tourneys last year!

(Note the sarcasm...)

Funny how he can beat a successful road player, J.D. from Washington State, and still be considered an amateur last year...

(Rant off)

Wheeler got lumped in with the rest of the hogs and as a courtesy I chose not to make him an exception, sorry you had to out him.

I didn't "out" Wheeler.. He'll tell anyone he plays good. Nothing against the man himself, more the fact that the Florida amateur tour will let just about anyone who hasn't won a major open Florida event play.

Side note: I didn't play in any of the amateur events, I just follow everything I can in Florida, because that will help in matching up when I finally get to practice.. wink wink..

Glad you followed him (Wheeler) not a match up you would want.
He did play on the AM tour last year. So does Dan Lavoie this year. They also let Nomar Paula play.

Dan, if I am not mistaken, has won multiple KBP tournaments in the past, correct? And he is playing on the tour this year?
