They were all just down in VA for the Open... The FL tour is a great tour and is currently the only thing paying out decent money. The Yankee's were half way there when they were in VA... makes sense that they would head on down to where the money is. ;)

Also next week is another Seminole Florida 10-Ball Tour event:

Bird Bowl Billiards
Miami, FL
305-221-1221
October 14 - 15, 2006
$8000 added

A lot of the players that played Ft. Walton will be down for this also.

If anyone can create a big tour to succeed it will be the Seminole Indians.... They have the ca$h and sincerely love pool :)

I agree. I've only ever heard great things about the tribe and their love of the game is evident in their continued support. The Seminole tribe is to be commended for all of the support they've given the pool world. ;) (and for paying the players.)

Jason Klatt is Canadian but he lives in Atlanta...

The Semihole group ought to consider sponsoring Stevie, he is part Cherokee Indian!

They had (may still have) Corey Duel and a top female pro playing for them. Even giving instruction to some members of the tribe if I remember right.

The rumor (good close source to them) was that they were putting together some $100k added tournaments, but I think that got side-tracked when the IPT started. Now I believe they are just watching all of the mistakes the IPT makes so they don't make the same ones. They could throw KT's money away and never miss it from owning ?# of casinos, hotels,...etc..

(and as Timberly stated...they pay their bills on time.)

:)

So why havent you made it down to the Plywood State 10-Ball tour young lady?:D I spoke to Stevie Moore yesterday for the first time...truely an asset to pool and humanity. One of the nicer guys in pool and we could surely use some...he told me to tell ya hello Timberly. If he stays focused this weekend as he was last weekend there is no reason he cant repeat!!! Just my opinion...

Yeah, I was there at the Pro Tour event. It was great, great players, organized very professionally.

Congratz to Steve for taking it down. He was just at my home room tonight (Hollywood Billiards) for the weekly, handicaped, tournament. He got rated SUPER high, and took 1st in that too.
Great player.

I plan to attend the Bird Bowl tournament since its only about 15 min from my house. Barring the unexpected (i have to go to wash dc today until friday and who knows my flight could go fubar on the return), I should be able to post a good deal of info on Saturday night or Sunday. I plan to take a notepad to write down the brackets so azb'ers can keep up with the action.

I plan to be there also unless the sky falls on me again.

(just look for the guy sitting in the corner crying with a 6 point rack around his neck & loser tatoo on the forehead)

:D

Voodoo, I would love to make it down. Unfortunately I'm tied down to a full time Mon - Fri job which doesn't allow much time for traveling nor all that much extra money. ;)

I'm glad you got to meet Stevie and watch him play. You'll be hard pressed to find someone that doesn't like him. Thanks for relaying the "hello". :)

Glen Atwell is in FL all the way from WA. I think he will be down there while the money is good, then he'll play in the IPT qualifier tournament in DEC.

I believe it is still the Florida Pro Tour which is run by John Di Toro.

John managed to work a deal with Osceola and the Seminole Tribe to sponsor the tour but it is all John's hard work that has made it what it is.

The Tribe also sponsors Corey Deuel and Vivian Villareal.

A couple years ago I thought the tour would be playing out of the two casinos that the Tribe was building in Miami and Tampa.
