Up for sale is a 2007 Ernie Martinez custom cue. Only one of the shafts have been chalked and test hit. The photos below were taken after the cue was played. Can you tell which shaft has been chalked?

The forearm is a piece of highly figured Bird's-Eye Maple and features 4 razor-sharp Ebony points (the points and butt sleeve appear to be stained Rosewood, but I'm not 100% certain, so I am calling the wood Ebony). Each point has three veneers (green, orange and yellow). The butt sleeve is Ebony (it could be stained Rosewood, but I'm not 100% sure). The cue has fancy rings at A, B, C, D & E. It sports a flat-faced phenolic sleeved joint with a 3/8-12 brass screw. The cue comes with two shafts, each of which has an Ivory ferrule and a Moori tip. Both shafts roll dead straight on and off the butt. The wrap is slightly textured black leather. The cue is a standard 58.0" long. It weighs 19.1 oz. with one shaft and 19.0 oz. with the other; the butt alone weighs 15.2 oz. Both shafts are 12.72 mm. The cue plays GREAT. This is a Level 3 cue. According to Blue Book of Pool Cues Third Edition (2005), the "secondary market minimum value" of a Level 3 Martinez cue is $1,500.00 in 98% condition. This cue is in at least 99.5% condition, the only deduction being a half a point because one of the shafts has been chalked. My price is just $940.00 delivered by USPS Express Mail to any point in the Continental U.S. So, what are you waiting for? Buy yourself a new toy.

Good morning, Mr. Gartland.
That is a sharp looking cue. I have owned a few older model Martinez
and really liked the construction and playability. I have never tried one
of his newer batch cues. I hope there are some folks that have owned/played or sampled these newer Martinez cues, as I am considering jumping on this wild piece. While it sure looks great, playability is the most important factor for me. Any input would be nice to see. PM great too.
Sweet looking cue Mike.

Sweet looking cue Mike.

As I posted before, my new Ernie plays GREAT. I played with the same Schon for 15 years before it and now I'm considering selling my Schon. I literally haven't played with my Schon once since I got my Ernie.

Cheers,
RC

Glad to see Ernie is back.

I had Ernie do some custom ivory inlay work for me in the past on cue from another high end cuemaker and met with him on a few occassions. Really a NICE guy and Master cuemaker. At first he didn't want to do the work afraid the other cuemaker might be offended someone else doctored his design up. So, I had to promise that I told people the inlays were added by him and not the original cuemaker. I am so tempted here, it is eating at me. The best part is that whoever buys this cue, knows that if they want it inlayed down the road to embellish fancy it, Ernie and his pantograph will make this cue even more valuable and all done by the original cuemaker.

What a Steal.

Brett:

The cue plays nothing short of GREAT. If you purchase and don't like it, I'll refund your money, no questions asked. The guy that I purchased the cue from informs me that he paid more than $1,325.00 for the cue, so it's a no-brainer at $940.00 delivered. Best regards.

Thank god I have ernie. Its the cues name

I have a martinez They are rock solid ernie puts heart and soul into his cues had one since 1994 Bougth it over a kikel and southwest. I am constantly bothered by my friends offering up the cash for it. Remember ernie put Show case Billiards on the map

Going, going, gone. Thanks Keepitreal!!!

Very pleased Mike. thanks for the prompt delivery. Great price for a cue
of this quality. Superb workmanship all the way around, great woods, super solid joint, perfect mathing rings and tight shaft thread, and most important a very solid/nice hit. In hand the cue would seem to be in the 1700-2000 range. I am indeed happy that I found out for myself the quality of work that Mr. Martinez is putting out. This 2007 cue is impressive.

Yes, I just gave away another Quality Cue for more than $650.00 less than the Blue Book of Pool Cues Third Edition (2005) says the cue is worth. I knew that you would agree. Good pick up for you. Cheers!!!

I was hoping that the deal fell through when I saw this post up top again!!!!

I was too slow on this fantastic cue from a great seller.

Maybe next time Mike!!!!

Russ......
