Cue is Sold

A handful of people asked about the bender i am selling, so i am posting it up here. In a few days I will put it on Ebay:)

This is a beautiful cue in person. The curly maple is very nice.

- 2 Shafts
One shaft is Ivory Ferrule 13mm (thats what it was when i bought it) unplayed. Tips stays on the table when rolled.
One shaft is LBM Ferrule at 12.8mm . Tips stays on the table when rolled. It is a used, but very good condition shaft.
- 5 Pt Curly Maple into very nice cocobolo. Curly Maple Butt. Brown/white irish linen (great condition seems almost new). Butt is PERFECT, no dings at all. Looks completely brand new..it basically is.
- Standard Phenolic joint with Bender's railroad track rings at A,B,C,D,E
- The Bender pin says Dunham-Bender
- I bought this new in 2006 (made in mid 2005)

This was a cue i bought but really never used. I am sure it has less than 5 hours of play on it. 1 shaft is brand new and unplayed. This is a fantastic condition cue, u will be very happy with this as it is a beauty too.

no need ot alk about Bender's sharp points, pple who knows his cues know it well.

Hit is amazing. Nothing wrong with it at all, i just have to unload this cue and another cue as I promised myself not to hold more than 1 $1200+ cue at any one time.

Asking $1100 shipped.

One tihng about the pics, I noticed that the points look wavy..i think its the digital camera thing..cuz the curly maple and the light reflecting is making the points look weird..i can tell u that this cue is beautiful in person. if u dun like it and u bought it ,i will return ur money and take back the cue:)

Nice cue.

Why did you have a tip changed with only 5 hours of play on it?

What is the weight?

You kno what, thats a good question. I left the cue with my friend and i came back 2 hours later and that had happened. It was early last year so I forgot what the reason was, it might have been to change the tip or it might have been to reshave it. Now that i am thining about it, I think there might have been a slight mushroom and he was trying to shave it off.

But i aint sure:) And hes a good friend..what can u do? Just have bulging eyes..and he laffs nervously and u laff nervously

As for the weight. I really dont know, i dont have a weight thing nor a caliper..so my best guess is about 19.5 cuz it is a little more solid feeling in my hand than some of my other cues.

I wish i could be more specific. But again, if the purchaser is not satisfied, I will return you your money.

Original owner?

That cue is identical to one I owned and sold last year. Even the red and black fibre pads on the ferrules. I do that as the red was a soft Moori and the black was a medium. Anyhow, good luck with your sale, if it is the same cue I had hits great.

This looks exactly like the one that was sold on Erik Lee's site (if you look in the "Mike Bender" section under "Sold Cues"). Could that maybe be the one?

I switched one of the shafts for a LBM one, so dropped the price by 100. This is a great deal, a similar cue like this from bender will run you 1500+. If you try to pick this cue up at Indyq, it will run you about 1800 or so.

Market for Benders down right now? I have been trying to sell mine too and can't get no action. Good luck with your sale. Nice price.

I don't think it is just Benders...the cue market as a whole seems dead right now. And IMO, that market has settled to this level and won't change. It's definitely a buyers market.

Certain cues by a few well known cue makers come on the market and they sell pretty well, but the over all market is down and i'm not sure it will go back to where it was. It wasn't too long ago that you could put a cue on ebay and it was sold in no time.
