Nice cue, and I hate to hijack the thread, but what makes a merry widow a merry widow?

I asked this in the Main Forum a few days ago, but I didn't really get a decent answer.

If a plain jane is a cue with a solid (as in no points, no inlays) forearm and butt sleeve, is a merry widow essentially a plain jane with fancy rings?

Merry widow is an old school term for a plain jane w/ no points. This hardly qualifies w/ the delux ringwork. I've played w/ this cue & it plays as good as any I've had. Very nice player friendly taper & fit & finish is top notch. The crown on the rubber bumper is a really cool touch & Tim is renowned in the Chitown area.

Thanks for the help Tim !
It is a very nice stiff hitting cue with great feedback.

Hard to believe the cue is still available. I have my funds stuck on a couple of custom cues I've ordered but I would steal this one in a heartbeat. Really want to try a Prince cue.
