I purchased this cue from Jimmy (Waldo's) several weeks ago and immediately sent it to Pete Ohman (OMEN Cues) for some additional work.
The cue was refinished, rewrapped with beaver leather, and a new Predator 314-2 shaft was matched up. Except for some tip chalk, the cue is like new.
The cue was to be my main player but, being used to a wrapless cue, I just can't get used to a leather wrap and this is the reason for selling.
Specs:
> 4 ebony points recut with holly/ebony/holly.
> birdseye maple forearm.
> black beaver wrap. The large pic of the wrap is showing the nearly invisible seam. Very nice work by Pete.
> ebony butt sleeve.
> ivory rings at joint and butt sleeve.
> 3 shafts:
1 Predator 314-2 (Sniper tip), 3.5 oz.
2 OMEN shafts, approximately 12.9mm (tips, unknown), 3.5 & 3.8 oz.
1 of these shafts is new, test hit only.
> Butt weighs 15.5 oz.
> 58".
The cost to build this cue (approximately $1900.00) can be calculated on the OMEN Cues website. The options include recut points, ivory rings, leather wrap, and Predator shaft.
