For sale saturation question

I know there have been new rules, and a new system in place in the for sale section.

One of the goals was to make it so that a post stays in the first few pages by no bumps from others.

I counted numerous threads by people who started 7 or 8 back to back to back threads when it could have been done in one thread.

etc.

Lastly, why are there so many threads started over or well over a year ago still being bumped. The item isn't selling despite being bumped every 2 days for over a year.

Can't something be done to fix this. There are just some items that people don't want to buy, no matter how many times you keep showing it to them.

Whenever someone doesn't like the system that they have to deal with, they try to beat the system.

I agree. If one has multiple items for sale, they should be put in one Thread.

That can be easily rectified once the Mods know of it.

Report the Thread. Apparently, that is how they prefer to do things as of late.
 
One of the problems that I see is there is a core group of people who do this under the "were gold members" guise.

It's not hard to see currently all the people who are literally abusing this system.

If people don't think it's abuse, and you have anything for sale, think of it like this. If I'd like to look over what's for sale, and I have to keep going through pages where someone has 5, 6, 7, 8 threads in a row, I'm going to stop looking at for sale, and your item wont get looked at.

Granted that is only me, but pretty sure I'm not the only one with this feeling.

Really 8 Jacoby threads in a row? You couldn't have one "Numerous Jacoby sticks $200-$1k"

I've purchased a few things here, and personally I simply ignore those selfish,
self centered d!ckheads.

The market is flat on its back, and even top tier items take time to find a new home.
Once in awhile, someone here is realistic with the market, and the item actually
sells...That is not often at present....thus the repeat offender threads as their
pricing is generally out of line with reality, and they cannot figure out why their
item stays lingering for weeks, even months.
 
It goes like this as far as Immunity goes.

By a Banner Ad. Yer close to untouchable.

Gold, well, maybe in some cases they may over look slight abuses.

Silver or Bronze. Better be careful.

I guess one way of seeing it as this. If the actual ads on AZ were costing the sellers a set amount, they should be pissed a bit. As long as they are free, can't do much about it.

They have fixed the Sales forum and if people are starting to skirt the rules again, it won't be long before they fix that part too.

When I am browsing the Sale Forum, whether I am just looking at the candy or serious, I will go back as many pages as I have to, or use the Search feature if looking for a specific item.

Just the difference between you and I. I don't mind dicking around and clicking pages and you do.

In other words, if I have a nice 20 yr old Schon and have it on for a decent price, there is no doubt in my mind that someone will find it.

I browse the FS section 4-5 days a week since I joined looking to see what's been put up and for that desperate one shot 'steal' find.

I have noticed continued old posts that seem seller wants top dollar in a soft market since I joined. Bumperoo every 2-3 days like clockwork for months and holding firm on price or dropping a few bucks after a month when the initial starting price was more than the item was really worth to begin with.

I never really saw the 'Hey Day' of AZ and the Billiard market because I was not playing pool back then unless you count grabbing a house stick off the rack every month or so and banging a few racks for beers. HaHa.

I have met some good people here and done some very good transactions since I joined. I have also learned allot about pool and product from some well respected members.

I seriously cleared my collection last year of about 20 nice cues and am down to about 5 now. I am getting the itch again...but sold all my cases. Ouch should have kept some of those cases.
