Hello fellow AZ'ers. Here is a Terrific Mottey cue in gabon ebony featuring vibrant veneers. This cue has the very desirable old-school silky feel Cortland wrap. There is one orig Mottey shaft and two high quality matching shafts that were made by William Gentry just before his tragic and untimely death. For anyone unfamiliar with William Gentry, he was a protege of Dennis Searing and Florida deputy sheriff whose life was cut short being shot while responding to a neighborhood disturbance complaint on the porch of the suspect. Very, very sad, indeed. Dennis continues to have William's badge and black ribbon at the top of his FB page. William was not only a very talented cuemaker but a fine gentleman, as well. You will not be able to see any differences in the ringwork when comparing his shafts with the original. William used Searing Precision tips on those two shafts, of course. "PM" is engraved in the delrin buttcap.
Cue is in overall superb condition and plays like you would expect an ebony Mottey should, solid and especially crisp.
Everything rolls straight together and apart.
