Beyond the obv. Waterbuffalo tips are waterbuffalo hide and the pro are Pigskin.

The Pro seem to put a little more spin on the ball. The WB tips are a little more dense and more forgiving IMHO. I would normally direct the better players to the pro and the leauge players to the WB but it really all boils down to personal preference.
