Bert Kellerman ...

Mr. K was a friend, both of the Kikel cues pictured in the 5th row to the right and 6th row down were previously owned by me.

The birdseye and ebony cue w/ arrowheads is @ 21+ oz and both shafts were 13.5mm (15 years ago anyway), I bought it with a matching cue that did not have arrowhead on the 3 points from Sergeant S. Lewis in Co Springs. I sold it initially to John Romero (Danny Sheya's partner in Thornton Billiards ages ago).
The other is purpleheart and barely figured maple that was originally an oil finish hustler that Ernie Martinez refinished for me in either 1995 or early 1996; I'm pretty sure it was made for Chris Whistler (that's who I bought it from...) it was about 19.25 and the shaft was 12.75-13mm when I sold it to Bert.

I didn't know Bert had passed away. My condolences to his family. I knew him and he was always a pleasure to be around. His cue collection was legendary in Denver when I was there.

Looks like two of the old cues I used to beat balls around ended up in his collection. Not surprised he had a lot of cues. One of them is a McDermott that he liked for some reason and traded me some cash + another cue I wanted. I always regretted it because that McD was one of the best hitting cues I've owned. Hit much, much better than any other McD I've ever used.

Did anyone go to this auction?

I had to work so couldn't make it.

Just interested.
