forearm handle connect

Hi,
what is the better method to connect the forearm with the handle - tenon from forearm into the handle - or tenon from handle into the forearm.

What are the pros or cons ?

Hehehhee.
You mean like coring the forearm 3/4 then the handle 7/8 and use laminated long piece?

I've been doing that for years on some of my low end designs. Except that my forearm is not sleeved to a core. Instead the forearm is part of the core then handle and butt sleeves are glued over the long .750 tennon. Just make sure you have adequate glue channels. I started doing this by taking bar cues and reversing them. I using the handle portion of the cue as the forearm and cut the oposite end to a long core that I slide a handle and butt sleeve over. No complaints yet. Let's me use beat up bar cues too, just turn it slow and be careful. If you attempt this on a bar cue be sure it is solid at what was the butt end and has no metal in it.
