What he said. I’ve heard that very same advice / opinion from a pro player.It’s common. The more stable the setup, the more consistent the stroke. If placing a forearm, elbow or heel of the hand on the table improves your stability, do it. If it is awkward enough to hinder your stability or stroke, don’t do it. Doesn’t take much practice to learn “when to” and “when not to”.
