He turned these apparent "weaknesses" into strengths.
When it comes to the wrist and the hand/finger position you won't see any champion player do it exactly the same. The key is to maximize the feel and power you generate in your hand/wrist/forearm. IMO
I cock my wrist in the way you're saying and there's benifits to doing this (you can read about this in the WRISTS LINK). This reminds me of Bruce Lee, who's one leg was shorter and and was near sighted. http://vampjack.freewebspace.com/leedeath1bio.htmlBRUCE LEE ARTICLE
He turned these apparent "weaknesses" into strengths. I recommend doing the same thing in your pocket billiard grip. Make the most of what you do naturally, identify the strengths/weaknesses and develop your Game accordingly. Check this thread out for more info on the hand/wrist/fingers grip and why the wrist is a hidden power catalyst, not just along for the ride. My wrist position is at a 25 degree angle compared to my forearm, i think this is called sidesaddle. I can straighten out my wrist but it feels a little different and my speed game is off when i do. Im playing closer to my expectations lately and dont want to change anything but if it will help me in the long run i am willing to change. Do i need to straighten my wrist out in order to have the proper mechanics? i am 6 foot 5 so maybe that has something to do with it. I just noticed this and i am shooting lights out lately so really hope this angle of the wrist is ok.
