Why are you yelling?

Decorum.....I'm forum.

I don't think it's necessarily the nature of pool, I believe it's the nature of the Internet forum, regardless of topic or genre. Although, like everything in life, there are individuals who take the time and effort to take a jab at others. But, in my limited experience it is far more prominant on the internet. The anonymity it provides seems to foster more aggressions and a general lack of manners. It's like this on every forum, which is why I'm not a big poster. On a competition diesel forum I frequented several years ago, when I was racing my truck, I thought everyone hated one another, but at an event the forum hosted, everyone was the best of friends. Lots of internet geniuses, philosophers and keyboard tough guys out there to make it more interesting. That's for certain. But, as you recommend, These things are to be taken with a grain of salt.

Dear Gentle Readers,

One the the facets I most adore about the two pool sites that haven’t yet banned me is the diversity of the personalities who somehow find a way -- more or less -- to get along with each other.

Sure … there are flare-ups, feuds, fights … and probably several other f-words. Don’t ask!

But there seems to be some sort of innate temperature-leveling mechanism that moderates the day-to-day climate in here.

I guess the administrators need -- from time to time -- to go on troll patrol. But these leaders appear to exercise, pretty much, a laissez-faire philosophy. (While I’m earnestly mangling the French language, laissez les bon temps rouler!)

When I first started hanging out here, I wistfully wished that folks would be nicer to each other. Kinder. But I’ve become sort of used to the occasional rough-and-tumble. Perhaps this verbal jousting is reflective of actual pool room deportment?

In any case, I don’t let it bother me so much any more. Well, not that often!

Meager point?

I guess if you’re newish here, maybe you could do what I could have done, but didn’t … take your time, take a deep breath, take, well, take it easy!

Providing unsolicited advice is my life,

Sunny

When I first came here people mistakened me for some infamous bad guy and everyone hated me. Today, people consider me a bad guy of my own and hate me even more. We all get used to the beauties of pool community sooner or later ;-)

Dude,......

The guy they think you are/were/resemble had the name "Poolkiller"
Do you think he would have problems having that name in a billiards forum ??

Thats like walking into the Mormon church, asking to be in the Diaconate, and having the last name, "Manson!!":shocked2::thud::shakehead:

(using this purely as example, not trying to assail the Mormon church, or the last name Manson)

I'm not saying anything about him, I'm just pointing out how ridiculous this whole story about my relations to him is. What is even sadder is that I'm not the only victim of someone's false accusations. Search that name up, you'll see that at least two or three more people were accused of being some sort of poolkiller under disguise.
