Forum Players Claim To Be 1P Players...

It's a game that can be handicapped easily for any two players, requires the full gambit of pocket billiards techniques, you must be able to switch gears at any time( putt-putt shots-full stroke precision), you must control every ball that moves on a given shot, it's a tit for tat game mostly so you have a chance to counter an opponents move, allows time for banter amongst players, and it can be enjoyable for young and old alike.
Just some of the many observations and reasons I enjoy it.

99% of non-pool players don't enjoy watching ANY pool. This is why cornhole is on ESPN and pool isn't.
Pool is one of those specialized games/sports that can only be fully appreciated by players imo.
So, we gotta make more players😃

Why can't I get forum members to give me information on selling viewing to the public on one pocket?
In writing I need all the info that I can get from one pocket players... To advise viewers of one pocket game for the enjoyment of watching... Guy
GUY - It's hard enough to get passionate 8 and 9 Ball players interested in the intricacies of 1P, let alone create desire in average people to watch it.

For the non-1P pool player, the game is too slow and too intricate to be of interest.

For the complete non-pool player, 1P is incomprehensible, confusing, and counter-intuitive when they are exposed to it.

The only part of 1P the typical person understands is the gambling aspect.

If I wanted to get average people and non-1P pool players interested in watching 1P matches on TV, I would add a 'scrolling ticker' at the bottom of the screen, which displayed the amount of money being bet on the game - including all the side-bets occurring during certain shots by the audience in attendance.

A 'Gambling Show' - which merely uses 1P as the mechanic to generate the outcomes of the wagers - would be the only way I can see average folks caring to watch 1P at all.

Now, if you are talking about getting existing pool players into 1P, the only thing I might suggest is getting them to watch the 2007 movie 'Turn the River' and see if that creates any interest in 1P for them. - GJ

Interesting, never heard of that movie. Its available on Prime & YouTube… thanks for sharing that. While searching for it, I came across another billiards related movie I’d never heard of; “Toolsidas Junior”, an Indian/Hindi flick about snooker. Perfect timing, as I have some long airline travel tomm…

Agree with your 1p comments also.

Cheers ✌️

GJ, Yes, this post is the type I need , Your personal opinion, Thank you... My book will include 8,9and 14.1 as well... No instructions or as little as possible but to maybe make easier for the reader to imagine, No gambling, Without gambling it will just have to be of an interest for the player and the tournament inwhich they are playing... I was originally going to leave out 1p but it's growing in popularity world wide, So I feel I should try and include 1p in... I feel all this conversation with the forum members helps once we are on the same track... I'm old , slow minded and it's a slow process... I'll use as much of you're opinion as I possible can and I do thank you for your response... Guy
