I was watching a match in the Jeanette Lee Marathon on my Tivo from this weekend. It was a match against Eva Laurance.
In the very first game, Eva Laurance broke and made the one ball. She pocketed the two ball but scratched in the side pocket.
Jeanette Lee motioned to the referee that Eva was on two fouls, which the referee (Steve Tipton) confirmed. Lee then put a lock up safe on Eva. Eva then fouled by missing the three ball. The game was over.
Since Eva had the break, making a ball, then pocketing the one ball before fouling on the two ball I don't understand how she could then be on two fouls.
I did notice that on the break that only two balls went past the side pocket but nothing was said by the announcers about a foul at that point.
Does anyone know why Eva would be on two fouls after making the one ball and then fouling on the two?
Please set me straight. Thanks.
Stephen
