Four piece Connelly

I'm working on a Connelly Ultimute tomorrow, releveling the slates and recovering it. If you want heavy slates, try a Gabriels 10 billiards table with 60mm slates, that's 2 3/8th's thick, and a little over the 600lb mark per slate. I just got done helping the guys load Mike Massey's billiards table in the back of a trailer to take it back to California:D:D:D When we..."1" of me, "2" of them....took the slates off the frame to stand them up against the wall so we could load the frame first...THEY....just about died...rotflmfaof!!!!! I picked up my end of the slate...they picked up their end...and picked up, and picked up!!! We finally got the slates off, then they went to work taking the frame apart and got it loaded. Now it was time to load the slates, and I got my end....but when they couldn't lift up their end..."tried 3 times"...I gave them a break and told them to take my end of the slate because it was already up off the ground. So, they took my end, leaned it to them so I could pick up the floor end, and as I picked up my end....THEIR end went DOWN, and DOWN, and DOWN...:rotflmao1::rotflmao1::rotflmao1:

I couldn't help laughing, but we needed to load the slates, so then I got the spare tire out of their truck, laid it on the ground behind the trailer, laid the slate across the tire, then laid some 2 x 4's down as a ramp to slide the slate up and onto the steel frame and after about another hour, we finally loaded all 3 slates.

Next time, I think they need to send 3 guys for their end of the slate damnit and we'll get the table loaded faster:grin::grin:
