I agree. The seller may be unscrupulous but only an uninformed buyer will bid. His auctions have always screamed "Buyer beware."
 
Not disclosing accurate info is a form of scam. You're saying it's unknown while you clearly know who made it is a form of scam in my opinion. Those cues are made in Singapore and start bids on eBay for 50$. The only reason they sell is bc they look like southwest and people buy them. I can guarantee some here on azb have bought them and sold them bc they sucked. I've seen a couple on wanted/for sale.
 
Scammer

This seller is a scam artist to say the least. I did post up in December or so about a J&J ( $125) veneered old school looking 4 pointer he bought from me on eBay that I bought for my Son.

He sanded off the logo and cleared or buffed so it was a ' unknown' added a extra matching $40 shaft and proclaimed he acquired from an estate sale of an old couple in Vermont or something.

Flipped it for about $400- $500 is memory serves me. It was the cue he bought from me a week earlier. That is his MO. Rip off scammer. :angry:

I would say that is exactly what it is, with this character and many others.

EBay is definitely a Buyer Beware situation in many areas these days. Always was to a certain extent, maybe a bit more so now.

I got burnt for close to $300 due to a Seller and Knock Offs. It was EBays doing that I had no recourse when they could have told me what the Skinny was rather than hide it as they did.

These days, I purchase Fishing Supplies from China and that is about it. Free shipping and pretty much the same items that you see on the Stores Shelves for 4 times the price.

30 bucks to send a couple of lures from the USA to Canada. That'll be the day. Hahaha.

It takes two to make a deal -

I completely agree that this seller is dishonest by disguising the origins of his cues and using high starting bids that exceed his cues real values but what does this say about the buyers?

One his buyers bought not one but two cues from him and then left negative feedback after he found out he overpaid for them. I guess he was embarrassed when his buddies told him he paid double for something he thought he was getting for half price.

I know how he felt Jay.
Years ago at a VNEA tournament I paid $40 for a cue which was supposed to be half price.
A few days later I noticed that you could buy the same cue on Ebay for $39 shipped.
Thank God my team won the tournament, and the Calcutta more than made up for the loss.
