Fred Agnir

I generally found Fred abit abbrasive, not that he didn't know what he was talking about but he didn't seem to be very open to other peoples ideas kinda of a "my way or the highway" attitude if he didn't agree he belittled posters rather than trying to prove his point. I wonder with his holier than thou attitude if he could actually play.

Hey Wayne sounds like youve had experience in that department. Yeah I know what you mean. Damn. Cant live with em and cant live without em. No wait I take that back. I got the pool room now.

Both of them ...

Both Fred and Craig are good posters, and contribute to the
forum in a good way. They just got into what ended up as
a head butting contest, and when they reached to feel their
heads, they realized they had a few bumps that were sore ...
It can be a big shock when you actually realize that not
everyone thinks as you do, but life is too short to hold a grudge,
and it is a sin .... bet cha you didn't know that ...

What's that serenity prayer? And the wisdom to know the difference.

I'm sure Fred was a fantastic pool player and I thought he was a very bright person, but I couldn't agree more with the abbrasive thing.

I see a lot of that around here, not just from Fred. There are certain people who only post when they disagree with something or someone so they can start a problem.

And you've NEVER been abrasive, curt, or posted something in a way that rubs people the wrong way immediately? You need to look in the mirror, bud.

In my case, I've looked in the mirror and know that I do. But I also don't pull any punches and pretend that I'm a goody two-shoes or above it all like you're trying to do.

To quote YOU in the freebie table time thread...."GET A LIFE"!

Thanks for helping to prove my second point. I didn't want to single you out, but I knew that you couldn't resist opening your big mouth.

Sure, I've been abbrasive, but hey, like now - I give what I get.

I don't run into a thread and jump down someone's throatlike you constantly do. If I have to be abbrasive to loud mouth know-it-alls like you, that's just fine by me.

And you're also a lying POS along with it...I was supposed to be on IGNORE, doofus.

While isn't that just the way of the world. People who know their stuff generally take the attitude show me I'm wrong before I'll change my mind you get 2 people who know their stuff and sometimes their hair gets up. I've been dealing with the same thing in work for the last 2 months.
The big problem with written communication is the back and forth is too spaced out and there is no non-verbal communications, i.e. facial expressions, hand gestures, etc. The non-verbal form of communication is very important in moderating our disagreements.
FWIW, I know Fred personally and he is a good guy.

Yes, I can

you're not allowed to have two different analogies :)

which is it battling over the same hard drive or head buttin? :p

Hey, I can have 2 analogies if I want to because I have been
married 4 times to 3 women, and I learned it from them ...lol

jimbo might get fred to come back when he returns from the show

Or not, good for Fred, it was his choice not to continue on with the headaches. There are some people who really have a clue and it's sad that they have to argue with idiots all the time. It takes a special person to keep it up when they have a name and rep and they have to deal with anonymous people on forums who have no clue and don't bother to read or understand what is written. There are those who do and there are those who pretend and then make believe on the internet, I happen to know Fred was one of the one's who *DO*. His posts might be missed, but his headaches won't be. I can tell you I don’t always agree with Fred, but I do know if he said it, he meant it and most times had proof and facts to back it up, something most here don’t bother with.

Or they see no point in posting the same thing over and over (me too)

I believe this forum is set up for information sharing, it really only needs to be said once unless you disagree. Take a simple post like someone looking for the phone number to Southwest cues, once it's posted does it need to be posted 10 more times?? How bout if it's posted wrong??? I think you get the point. Sometimes people who disagree post to get their opinion out there and that's what make debates and that's how we learn. Of course IMO.

Hi Wayne,

Being an old married man, that really gave me a good laugh. By the way, Fred hasn't posted on CCB either since September 28.

Chris

He has also left the CCB.
