Freddie Salem has passed away

For those of you who don't know already, the pool world lost a legend this past week. Freddie Salem of Detroit passed away. Unfortunately I don't have many details, but I do know that he is being laid out today and the funeral service is tomorrow (Monday).

Freddie was a champion snooker and pool player and one of the greatest and classiest people you could ever meet in the poolroom. Always polite and generous, he was greatly respected as a player and a person by all of those who ever met him. His presence will surely be missed!

That is sad to hear, he was always a great person every time I saw him. I wish I could of seen him play in his prime.

I know he hasn't been doing well for quite some time so he is probably much happier now that he isn't in any more pain.

Rest in peace!
