I was thinking about this again today. Anyone remember when the boxer Riddick Bowe threw the WBC belt in the trash rather than fight Lennox Lewis? Did that make the belt & title worthless? I don't think so.

I'm the kind of person who will help someone in the store by getting them the item they want from the shelf they can't reach. I suppose I could let them wait for an employee to help them, but that's just not me. It doesn't cost me anything to do that, and that's the point. You can just do a good deed for someone. What do I get out of it? The thanks from the person I've helped & the knowledge that I can still act the way my parents raised me to.

So what if a good deed doesn't cost you anything? If it helps somebody out & makes them happy that in itself is worth its weight in gold. I was always told that it's the thought that counts! I just wish we could all do it more often!

Exactly chilli66. I pulled a very nice Joss out of the trash once too as the player snapped the butt over his knee after a set with Brady at Mother's. Installed new handle wood and new linen wrap and the cue was like new.
Realizm is hung up on me giving away a new cue I made...well I guess he doesn't read or search. In the past year I've given away TWO new ones to lucky AZ members...one to Bnall and another to Inzombiac. The free cues were just a j/b and a hustler...but both men have since ordered very nice cues from me. Inzombiac your new veneered 4pt should ship Mon....its on schedule to be totally complete this weekend.
Bnall...your ebony/bem widow isn't even close yet.

Ok i have to say Kev Is a really nice guy He makes a hell of a b/j cue .I know some people that have them and just love them.
But Kev i did this just to see how people are not able to post what that fell .
Deadstroke32 told me about you and thats how i know so much about you .
O i know that you have given away cue before.And i also you have been in some trouble sometime back also .

I have no problem posting up my cue but judging by your grammer and writing skills I am not sure you are old enough to enter a pool hall - let alone play with gas and matches. We must play in a pool hall - not under the bridge where you have crawled from.
The thing that gets me the most is that you fail to see the good in what Kevin did for someone else. He saw an opportunity to help someone less fortunate and did it.
