OK, here's the deal. Back in the '80's I bought a Hoppe with a bad shaft. So I had a shaft made for it. A good shaft. Drove down to Colorado Springs one fine day and dropped the cue off at Dave Kikel's shop. He made me a shaft. Sort of an unusual taper, a bit stiffer than an average pool shaft but not a billiard shaft either. I recently had the Hoppe converted and the old shaft does not fit. I assume the one I have will fit a standard brass joint Hoppe. Mine was a Hoppe from a later era, probably late '60's early '70's, probably one of the ones made by Adams. I am not absolutely sure and don't know about any small differences in joint hardware there may have been in the different eras. So I will give it away, but here's the deal.
If the shaft works for you please donate something to charity this holiday season. I don't really care what. Buy some Toys for Tots, Coats for Kids, give some money or stuff to a local family in one of those adopt a family things, donate something to a shelter, whatever. I won't ask, don't care how much. You have to let your conscience be your guide.
I will pay shipping in the US. It may be bad shipping. It may not get there. I make no promises about quality and won't listen to complaints or problems about the shaft. if it doesn't fit your cue or work for you, it is your "problem" but since it costs you nothing it isn't really a problem. If you want you can sell the shaft, burn it, use it to jump, or prop up vines in the garden. You can also find someone else to give it to. Once it leaves my possession it isn't my concern. But if you receive it and like it donate something. I don't mean to harp on conditions, but I am just saying that since I am giving it away I am not going to go to much trouble over it.
So tell me if you want it. I reserve the right to send it to anybody who responds, not in any particular order etc....
