9 on the spot? Where is the one and how is it a legal break? Please explain, looking forward to the stream.

All this means is the rack is higher up. One is still in front. Putting the 9 on the spot makes it harder to make balls consistently on the break.

9 OTS is the only way to play 9 ball IMHO. :)

They tried this at the 2011 mosconi cup. It lasted one day and they went back to the standard position of the one on the spot. Even with the break rules (box, balls past head stream, ect) they were making the 1 in the side 90% of the time.

Wrong

That is incorrect about the Mosconi Cup. In 2011 they used the magic rack the first day. They were having problems with it curling under the TV lights and sliding. Match Room and both teams agreed to go to the standard hard (triangle) rack for the remainder of the tournament. It was thought here might be a problem with batch of magic rack base material. I personally love the magic rack.

As for 9 on the spot that has been used in many tournaments over the years so is not new.
