Free Pool around town? (DFW)

Was wondering if you metroplexers had a list of free pool times given by halls and bars around town?

I believe Rack Daddy's is free on monday, as is CJs.

Christies on Mckinney Ave. in uptown is free on sunday.

Clicks on Majesty in Arlington has free pool on Mondays on the 8-footers. Also, on Tuesdays they have a $5 flat rate for the full day (including the evening) and I believe it includes the 9-footers.

I was at the Billiard Den yesterday, the place was completely empty and the bartender told me that they're going to have free pool on the 8' tables Sundays to try to bring more people in. Unfortunately it's only the 8' ones though and they're still going to charge for the Diamonds (which makes no sense to me, since they can't even maintain the rails and cloth on them).

I think Clicks at Marsh and Rosemeade has $4 flat on Saturday and Sundays, which for me seems incredibly reasonable....sorry, not much knowledge on free pool, but if anyone can also speak up on reasonble flat rate places, I'd love to hear it...

I think Samiel told me they had to pay $9 an hour at Billiard Den.....on a week night.....to me, that is just plain crazy....

I was in the DFW area a few weeks back and I had to pay $9 an hour for the 9' footers at Billiards Den. Extremely unreasonable, but I was only in town for a few days and didn't feel like driving around to find another. And it was on a weekday.

A few months ago, I did go to Hawley's on a certain weekday (I don't remember the day) and paid a $4 flat fee from open to 7 or 8.

Damn. TX is doin you all, err, y'all right.

I only know iof 1 spot around me that does free pool w/ $8 food purchase, 11.30-5 daily. 9' GCs...

And i dont understand why some pool halls are closing....place i play has free pool on sundays......i go up there and people you never ever see during the week are there every sunday....i would rather just pay my normal time and help keep the room open then to have these b i t ch es come in and play for free and drink water....

Completely see your point. As a player, you want to support your halls and keep them going so that they can stay there. But, looking at the business side. The only way to get non-players in is to drastically discount on some days or offer it for free. This way, it gets them involved in the game and liking it, so that they might come back and pay normal rates during the other days. IMO.
