Maybe I asked the wrong question, because I only got 9 replies out of 748 viewers

Would you enjoy live FREE streaming of Pool Matches..?

How about Free Streaming Tournament matches..?

Do you watch YouTube.

Would you take advantage of FREE Streaming archival matches?

Does your Pool Room show Pool on the big screen or Football. Are they selling football or Pool... yeah, yeah... I know. They're selling beer & booze...

Do you enjoy having the choice to watch Pool n Billiards being Streamed free.

Do any of you watch Instructional videos on You Tube..?
 
I love watching pool so much I don't even mind paying. So of course I'd like free streams!

Instructional videos can also be pretty great.
 
Free is a very good price. Mainly because I won't put a card number over the net with all the hacking going on...so Pay per view and paypal are out for me.

For protection, thought of getting another card with a low limit, but never did...
 
This must be a trick question. Anyway, it seems you want input.

I would watch one pocket and straight pool. Even 8 ball on a full size table. I'd have no interest, and never do watch rotation on youtube or anywhere else for any significant amount of time. I find it redundant and boring. But that's just me.

But for free, its pretty convenient to get my 5 minute fill. :thumbup:

We are trying to define-understand the need for LIVE Streaming of matches or archived matches. We want to know if there is any real interest or is there just 5 or 6 of you that would like that. So far that seems to be the case. I had 9 replies the first time & this time I have received 4

As you already know, FREE doesn't exist in the universe ( I wonder who come up with that term) , but if it is FREE to you, as the consumer, is that what's important to you.

I watch pool every night. I prefer resent matches but, watch older matches if nothing new is available. I will watch good matches several times. All I watch is free! I prefer to spend my money playing pool rather than watching it.
 
I watch you tube pool videos all the time and watch both free and PPV streaming regularly. I believe a lot more "fans" would watch if it were free
 
Streaming matches,etc

Myself and about 7 others around here watch as much as we can. Ppv, Free streams, YouTube etc.

We dont pay for 9 ball or 10 ball. Just One pocket, and some 8 ball.

Yes, if they were quality live stream pool matches. Personally , I like commentary.

Sure, tournament matches are great.

Yes, I peruse youtube from time to time but like LIVE better.

Every once in a while I check out the youtube instructional stuff.

There is already a lot of content out there on YouTube and Ustream that has been recorded, there is also the AccuStats collection that you can stream from their site.

So yes there is a demand and I guess need for it since that's the only way we can see many events, but I don't think there is MORE demand over what is already available. If there were double the streaming matches, I don't think that you would see double the viewership is what I mean. It's not like Apple releasing twice as many phones the first day where you have a waiting list, if you get more phones, there will be more phones sold and more people after them. Putting out more streams or videos won't get more viewers.
 
I'm an avid watcher of free youtube.com pool videos (matches and instructional).

Live streams don't generally work for me because my schedule is unpredictable. If I've got some free time, I'll watch a free stream; if not, obviously no.

Even though I enjoy pool immensely, it's not something I'd pay to watch.

I'm not sure if that answers your question, but it's hard give a clear answer without knowing the specs of a service.

Not even if that meant there would be events and decent money given to players? I would not mind paying the cost of a money to watch a multi-day tournament. Or maybe 5-7 for a one day challenge match.

Nope. For 30 years I sold advertising space in a magazine that had a great educational mission...but no one ever bought an ad because it would help our mission; they bought it because it worked for them. Prize money is the promoter's problem, not mine.

And like I said, I don't know what I'll be doing 2-3 hours from now; it's largely not under my control (unless I want to tell them "go ahead and euthanize the dog...I'm busy watching pool" :D)
 
Yes, I love free streams. Problem is when free streams are mentioned, they really end up costing money.
 
I enjoy watching live more than recorded events. It's better to watch when you don't know the outcome, with the exception of educational/learning events.
We started doing challenge matches in Tucson and have a Top 10 list that does a live stream for most matches. These matches are recorded also, so you can see yourself playing. It helps to see yourself playing so mistakes can be corrected.

I watch these because I know the local players, if it were strangers banging balls into rails I probably wouldn't watch.

I would enjoy watching some pro matches if they were free, but who wouldn't?

Just curious who we is ? Do you post your live streams in Tucson on the streaming board ?
 
I like to watch the live Pro Matches in all disciplines where I don't know the outcome or where there is people I know.
