French Championship live stream for the cushion games

Thanks, Dean,

I was just about to post the link myself.

Does anyone know what brand of table? And why the weird cloth color and why the gigantic "diamonds"?

I think I could live with the diamonds, since they would allow a way to adjust systems (far 3, mid 2, ...) but to be complete they need to extend them with chalk to the rail groove.

Bob,

You need a smiley in there or someone will think you're serious (for once).

Thanks of bunch for the link!! Any idea until what date this championship will continue and around what time do the games start? As I am kinda French to the whole thing :D

I believe the tournament will run from the 18th to the 26th of this Month.

Thanks! Well is it possible to watch anything other than the Stream1 and Stream2?

Any way to watch the 3C games, instead?

Because, I can see the 3 Cushion games currently being played, based on the score tables under the screen which are live. But all I can see is the one-band game in Stream1 (Stream 2 is blank) I think the table cloth is some sort of greyish color for one band games. I can make it that they play 3C games at a far above location in the same billiard hall...how can we switch to watching 3C instead???

Edit: Now it is fine. They started showing Bury v. Roux. Btw- that grey table cloth gives the feeling like it is black and white. Never seen such table before.

I'm attending the tournament right now. The tables are Toulet (a very good table in France). It is a new model (named after the very good french player Richard Bitalis). It's very original and innovative and looks good although I don't like the colors of this model. But it is available in many colors. The cloth is sort of kaki color which looks a bit dull to me (and some other spectators and players too). Now the main difference is that the table is equipped with a 80mm slate (instead of the usual 60mm) and the players (espacially the balkline players) are completely lost because the table rolls too much. So the averages are not too good right now, but I guess they should be better at the end of the tournament when they are more used to it. Monday will be the finals of the 1 cushion championship.

Roux ............

Jean-Christophe Roux first Champion of France this week Castres. After a thrilling final, beating Jeremy J. Christophe Roux Bury 50-49.

To me the tables has the best billiard design ever !

Oh la la! :)
Thanks very much for the info, Thierry!
Yes, the table looks very innovative, and very nice that it is named after the great master, Richard Bitalis. That kaki color cloth on 1 band tables do look a bit dull, yet also quite original. The 1 band players also looked a little puzzled to me, watching from the internet (by the way, it is wonderful to watch this tourney live on internet, especially the Bury v. Roux game was superb, watching both birdseye view from top and also different angles) Unlike the 1 band players, I think 3 cushion players' averages looked on par with their normal averages. Roux beat Bury by one point!
I look forward to watching the great Caudron holding a great cue! ;)
Hopefully someday I will hold it too lol.

Here's a view of the unusual table used in the 5-pin competition.
