Friday is Pool Day..How did you all Play?

Fun Friday night tournament last night. Race to 2 alternating 8 ball 9 ball loser breaks. Double elimination. 20 players. First match 8 ball. I break make a ball then miss. My opponent runs 6 and misses. I run out. He breaks 9 ball and comes up dry. I run out. I missed once in the match. This was the highlight of my night as I was eliminated in the quarter finals but a great group of players. Always a fun Friday night.
8-ball Awesome
I grew up playing 8 ball and when I came back to playing in 2005 I found out I didnt know a whole lot about 9 ball and I started playing that.
Last Friday was the first time I had played 8 ball in awhile. I ran out 2 racks and on both got funny on the last ball before the 8 and lost them. Then I got to thinking my shot selection was all wrong and I hit my zone for 8 ball and came back and won the set race to 5.
8 ball is an awesome game, its not can I make this ball, its can I make this ball and not leave him much if I miss and still have chances to run out that I know I can play. Its a very deep game that deserves the time to think things through.

I can't play at my regular pool bar fri&sat nights coz I play for free so I played little bit snooker with my student(snooker). Made 114 clearance. Then I did go drive taxi rest of night
(my primary work)Saturday night I was at another pool bar and played some 10-ball(no call) for drinks.. I could not drink fast enough..i still feel little dizzy
We split the two sets and decided not to play a third.
He ran a 5 pack and out and then a 7 pack.
I had taught him a banking system a couple of months ago and he wanted to try it out for real. I think he learned the system quite well.

I would say he did, banks was always one of those games for me that after Ive been playing a few hours its starts becoming natural. Thats why I really enjoy it. You have to feel that game.
Yesterday was Sunday but we played at Breakers in Greenboro
I got invited to a nice little Az get together at Breakers in Greensboro yesterday and met several Az folks.
We played some scotch doubles 9 ball and rotated players in and out on the losing team and really had a nice time of it. Fun is good stuff!

On Friday we finished up the WI State BCAPL singles tournament, I won the mens B.
I enjoyed meeting you and stu as well as playing with you two. It was a lot of fun and hoping to see the pics from pinky.

Not normally off on fridays so was glad to match up and hit some. after being up for 30 hours I think i played ok but not good enough, end result the table end up costing more than I lost... so.
