We’re not exactly sure where this is all going to end up. It started with just a ‘Split Bracket,’ two of them, generally referred to as High Side and Low Side brackets. The events sometimes crowned two champions, one from each bracket, so it was actually just two, concurrently-run tournaments. Others (and this has become the norm) came with a Final bracket, ranging anywhere from 4 to 16 competitors, culled from the top finishers in the separate brackets, competing in a small, double-elimination bracket, or sometimes single elimination.
