New Price: $SOLD shipped and insured (only in the lower 48 states). Other states and international buyer pays any additional shipping costs above $25.
For sale is a 2001 Gilbert Purpleheart J/B w/2 shafts. I am the original owner and I bought this in Las Vegas during the APA Nationals in 2001. 1 shaft is the original that came with the cue. The 2nd shaft is an original Predator 314 blank with matching collar installed by Andy himelf. This was my playing cue until mid 2002 (I stopped playing pool regularly when my oldest son was born). I recently started playing in league's again this year. Everyone knows by now how well Andy's J/B cues play (not just for breaking or jumping). This cue is no different, and is even more of a weapon with a Predator shaft. Since this is my regular player, there are various small dings on the butt, but Andy's finish is so well done that you have to look pretty carefully to notice them. The black butt cap, however, has 2 noticeable scratches (1 can be seen in one of the pictures). The original shaft has the original tip that Andy put on it, and is superb in jumping. The Predator shaft does not have the 314 logo, and I had Andy install a matching collar.
On Monday, 6/28/2010, Dave Bohlman, from Q-Masters, Virginia Beach, VA, installed a Moori Medium tip and reconditioned the shaft. It's smooth as silk now. He also replaced the rubber bumper with a brand new one.
Butt weight: 15.1 oz
Original Shaft weight: 3.4 oz
Original shaft ferrule: 12.75 mm
Original shaft tip: original tip from Andy gilbert (barely used)
Predator Shaft weight: 3.4 oz
Predator shaft ferrule: 12.75 mm
Predator shaft tip: Moori medium (installed 6/28/2010 by Dave Bohlman @ Q-Masters, Virginia Beach, VA)
Note: The white streaks on the cue is part of the natural grain of purpleheart wood. They are not scratches on the finish.
!! Thanks for looking and have a nice day !!
