Hi. I have decided to put my interesting Joss break cue that I picked up a couple months back up for sale.
I have a number in mind that I will not settle for less than. I believe this cue to be sort of a collector's item which is why I never used it. It is a brand new, never been used and is in perfect condition. Butt and shaft are perfectly straight both separate and together. Cue does not have a mark on it. My understanding is it was first created and built by Joss in 1992 as the company's first ever break cues. I bought it and received it in it's original packaging which I will include with it when it ships. I removed it from it's packaging when I received it to inspect and photograph it. I purchased it from a gentleman in Florida who received it through an estate sale or auction and indicated to me that it had spent its entire life in climate controlled storage. The cue weight is 19.5oz and shaft has a 13mm leather break tip and a 5/16 x 14 wood joint.
I received some information on it from another AZB forum member who used to own one and had contacted Dan Janes about it back in 2010. Here is the email response copied and pasted which he received from Dan...
This was a break cue I made a great many years ago.
It doesn't have a model number it was just called a break cue.
The logo / design on the cue is a cue ball being hit so hard that the tip puts a dent in the ball.
The cue is jointed with a finger joint. This makes a multi point look.
The slanted letters represent the shaft moving so fast during the break that the letters are tilted by the speed of the butt.
It was a fun cue that I only made a few of way back when.
Regards,
Dan
